Customs Bonded Warehouse
Secure storage for dutiable goods before formal entry.
A Customs Bonded Warehouse is a building or secure area where dutiable goods may be stored, manipulated or undergo permitted manufacturing operations without payment of duty.
When goods enter the warehouse, the importer and warehouse proprietor incur liability under a bond. That liability is generally cancelled when goods are exported or deemed exported, withdrawn as supplies for a vessel or international aircraft, destroyed under customs supervision, or withdrawn for U.S. consumption after payment of duty.
Short-term CFS entry
